Guardian Home Program
At Golden Retrievers of Southern Ohio, the health, happiness, and overall well-being of our dogs are our top priorities. That’s why we’ve chosen to implement a Guardian Home Program — a model that allows our breeding dogs to live full, enriched lives as beloved family pets, while also contributing to the future of healthy, well-socialized Golden Retrievers. Rather than keeping our breeding dogs in kennels, we place them in carefully selected forever homes where they receive one-on-one attention, consistent training, and the love they deserve every day.
This program ensures that our dogs are raised in a real home environment, building strong bonds with their families and thriving emotionally and physically. While they may come back to us briefly for health testing or breeding, their permanent home is with their guardian family. It’s the perfect way to continue our commitment to responsible breeding — focusing on temperament, structure, and health — without compromising the quality of life our dogs enjoy. Our Guardian Homes become part of our extended family, and we work closely with them to support and guide them every step of the way.
what are the perk to becoming a guardian home?
Get a puppy at a major Discount
We offer a thank you gift of $100 per puppy the guardian home dog delivers, we raise and send to new homes
When their contract is complete we will pay to have the guardian home dog spayed/neutered
At the end of their contract you will also receive the upfront money you paid for the puppy
